Things to do

Things to Do..... I want to thank Josh and Brent for inviting NY Wildlife Rescue Center to another great Sharon Springs Harvest Festival. Our BOD did a great display on saturday in Sharon Springs while Mike and I took our "Wildlife Alive" show to the Irish Festival at the Saratoga Co. Fairground. Unfortunately Mike and I were unable to attend the Festival on sunday because my daughter was getting her gall bladder removed. Josh and Brent will be on the upcoming season of "The Amazing Race". "The Beekman Boys" (Season 2) will air this thurs night (9/20/2012) on the Cooking Network....be sure to let the network producers know that you would like to see another season. Besides for being good friends and vital to revitalizing Sharon Springs, Josh and Brent have been very supportive with what we do. The Polka Spot fundraiser for the Montana 100 llamas was awesome and we appreciate it. I also want to say "Congrats" on their engagement. This sat. (9/22) from 10-4 the Wildlife Festival at the Blenhiem Power Authority will be a great free time. We will have our display there as usual. Come and see us. This sunday (9/23)Is the yearly Vromans Nose Hike and Open House. I am hoping to stop by for a little visit at some point with a Barred Owl. Last Year, the Girls Scouts and our SUNY Wildlife Students helped us hang several Barred Owl nest boxes on Vromans Nose. Cant wait to see if any have occupants. Looking ahead, the first weekend in October is the NYS Wildlife Rehabilitation Council Conference in Syracuse. Always a good time and very educational. Get the info online at NYWRC.Org....Hope to see you there. Till next update, WES
